Clash leaves 7 militants dead in Afghanistan

At least seven militants were confirmed dead as a clash erupted between security forces and Taliban fighters in Khakriz district of the Taliban former stronghold southern Kandahar province. 

The police spokesman said that the clash broke out in Shargi Durahi area of Khariz district on Sunday night and lasted for a few hours in which 16 more insurgents sustained injuries. 

The Taliban is yet to make comments on the report.
