ICC World Cup: Australia beat Pakistan by 41 runs

In the ICC Cricket World Cup, Australia beat Pakistan by 41 runs at Taunton in England today. Chasing a victory target of 308 runs, Pakistan were bundled out for 266 with 26 balls to spare.

Pakistan's Imam-ul-Haq contributed 53 runs and Mohammad Hafeez scored 46 runs while Pat Cummins picked up 3 wickets for Australia.

Earlier, put into bat, Australia were all out for 307 in 49 overs. While David Warner scored a superb 107, captain Aaron Finch made 82. For Pakistan, Mohammad Amir took five wickets.

India will face New Zealand on Thursday in Nottingham. India have won their first two games against South Africa and Australia.

Meanwhile, India's Assistant Coach Sanjay Bangar said that a final decision on Shikhar Dhawan's availability at the ongoing World Cup will be taken only after 10 to 12 days as he is too precious to be ruled out.

Dhawan will miss three to four games due to the hairline fracture on his left thumb and Rishabh Pant will join the team as cover in Manchester ahead of the clash against arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday.

Mr. Bangar's statement means that Dhawan will be out of the games against New Zealand tomorrow, Pakistan on Sunday, Afghanistan on 22nd and West Indies on the 27th of this month.
