What is National Night Out?

National Night Out began in 1984, initiated by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) as a way to encourage people to engage with their communities and enhance crime prevention efforts. From its humble beginnings with just 23 communities participating, the event has grown exponentially, with millions of people joining in across the nation each year.
